Routine inspection walkthrough on an active construction site — checking fall protection, edge guarding, plant movement, and site housekeeping against the project's EHS plan.
i
Checking what protects people
Verifying helmets, harnesses, high-visibility vests, gloves, and eye protection — and confirming that the right PPE is matched to the correct task and hazard.
i
Practical firefighting training
Live drill covering extinguisher selection, PASS technique, evacuation marshalling, and fire emergency response — delivered under Legal Notice 31 of 2004.
i
Measuring what workers hear
Occupational noise mapping using an integrating sound level meter — diurnal and nocturnal readings across the noisiest plant areas, with mitigation recommendations.
i
Understanding a site before it changes
Baseline environmental survey for an Environmental Impact Assessment — soil, water, vegetation, and community interface observations under Section 58 of EMCA 2015.
i

Daily pre-shift safety briefing covering the day's hazards, permit conditions, plant movement, and any open corrective actions from the previous shift's inspections.

Our Services
A full range of environmental, safety and compliance services — delivered on site, in the training room, and in the report.
Environmental Impact Assessment +
Undertaken pursuant to Section 58 of the Environmental Management and Coordination Act (as revised 2015) — a systematic examination to determine whether a programme, activity or project will have adverse impacts on the environment.
Environmental Auditing +
Systematic documentation and periodic evaluation of activities and processes to establish whether a business complies with environmental requirements and enforcing legislation — testing the effectiveness of environmental efforts against the business's own environmental management plan.
DOSH Safety Audits +
We conduct statutory workplace safety audits under the Occupational Safety and Health Act, 2007, covering workplace registration, statutory machinery examinations, safety and health committee compliance, fire safety, and annual returns. Our DOSH-approved auditors prepare a full audit and remediation report and represent your organisation during DOSH inspections.
DOSH Training & Compliance +
DOSH-approved occupational safety and health training for safety committees, safety officers, and line managers. We also provide statutory compliance support — workplace registration, DOSH documentation, annual returns, and audit-readiness preparation — so your premises remain fully compliant with Kenya's OSHA 2007.
Resettlement Action Plans +
We develop resettlement action plans (RAP) and livelihood restoration plans that address both physical displacement — loss of home and community — and economic displacement, including loss of assets, access to assets, or livelihood, caused by large-scale infrastructure and development projects.
Risk Assessments +
We evaluate hazards to determine whether an exposed population faces greater-than-expected risk of injury or ill health, or whether equipment and machinery are at risk of damage that leads to lost production. It's the entry point for the whole risk management process, giving employers a clear view of what's needed to improve workplace health, safety and productivity.
EHS Site Supervision — Construction +
Full OSH supervision and inspection for clients undertaking construction, delivered by our site officer. This covers:
- Environmental and Social Management Plans, plus site audits and inspections
- Safety and health specifications for the project
- EHS plans compiled on behalf of the client
- Evaluation and approval of the principal contractor's EHS plans
- Monitoring the principal contractor's EHS compliance for the contract period
- Statutory audits and inspections, with follow-up on recommendations
- Attendance at site EHS meetings to confirm contractor compliance
- Periodic EHS audit reports and performance-tracking measurements
Occupational Noise Survey & Mapping +
Noise measurement is required at least once every twelve months in every workplace with noise emission sources. We survey occupational and environmental noise, covering diurnal and nocturnal schedules and the most noise-sensitive locations nearby — residential premises, schools, hospitals, places of worship, parks — using an integrating sound level meter, and recommend practical, economically viable ways to eliminate the hazard.
Training & Awareness +
OSH Committee Training — Section 9 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act, 2007 requires every occupier of a workplace with twenty or more employees to establish a safety and health committee. Legal Notice No. 31 of 2004 then requires every committee member to complete basic OSH training within six months of appointment, and refresher training thereafter.
First Aid Training — required under Legal Notice No. 160, the Factories (First Aid) Rules, 1977, for anyone responsible for a first aid box, taught through a practical approach centred on the specific risks employees actually face.
Basic Fire Safety Training — required under the Factories and Other Places of Work (Fire Risk Reduction) Rules, 2007, covering:
- Fire losses & regulations
- Duties of employers & fire marshals
- The science of fire
- The fire triangle
- Workplace fire hazards
- Classes of fire
- Principles of extinction
- Extinguisher types & codes
- Choosing rescue equipment
- Fire risk mapping
- Fire prevention
- Emergency preparedness
- Evacuation procedures
- Practical firefighting
- Managing fire emergencies
Agriculture +
We work across the different aspects of food and farming systems — enterprise and product development, project design and management, communication and advocacy, among others.
Livestock +
We conduct studies and implement development projects linked to animal health care, animal welfare, livestock development, food safety and public health, working through multi-disciplinary teams on veterinary service delivery, animal disease risk management, livestock value chain analysis, enterprise and skills development, and project monitoring & evaluation.
